The Role

DESCRIPTION:

Clifford Chance US LLP is seeking a full time Legal Recruiting Manager. The role will manage all aspects of entry level recruitment for the New York office, including LLM hiring, planning the summer law clerk program, networking and coordinating and managing our sponsorship efforts. The role will also involve co-managing a team of junior coordinators both in NY and Houston. This role will report to the Head of Legal Recruiting - US.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-manage, alongside the Head of Legal Recruiting, the Firm's campus hiring process and initiatives, summer law clerk program, including summer assignments and final summer reviews.
  • Maintain master scheduling calendar for entry-level candidates and oversee final schedules.
  • Manage a team of junior coordinators in the scheduling of candidate interviews and in all post-follow up efforts and events.
  • Review candidate applications for "pre-selections" prior to on-campus interviews; oversee the compilation of final review packets of all entry-level candidates and summer law clerks for bi-weekly hiring committee meetings.
  • Work alongside the Head of Legal Recruiting to plan summer law clerk program, including summer law clerk social events, trainings, orientation, mentor and office-mate assignments.
  • Participate as an active and contributing member on the Hiring Committee.
  • Assist with NALP, Vault, and American Lawyer survey reporting.
  • Coordinate OFCCP and Mansfield reporting for the Firm.
  • Act as a main point of contact for all entry level candidates during the recruitment process.
  • Work alongside summer assignment advisors and department coordinators to ensure summer staffing runs seamlessly, including obtaining and compiling feedback for formal reviews. Assist other US offices where needed.
  • Manage the summer formal review process, including the mid-point and final schedules and compiling feedback.
  • Co-manage with Head of Legal Recruiting to plan and manage networking events including researching venues, creating programs for student panels. Act as a liaison with the law schools and outside vendors.
  • Take a leading role in creating and overseeing the summer abroad program with participating foreign office (s) including travel, accommodation and training schedule.
  • Oversee the virtual on-campus interviews and events for LLM recruitment, including liaising with other global CC offices, and compiling final hiring statistics.
  • Maintain a strong network of internal and external contacts and keep abreast of market trends with respect to processes and other attorney benefits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned pertaining to on-campus recruitment, the summer law clerk program and lateral hiring.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5+ years of on-campus recruitment experience in professional services firm. Legal recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail with a deep commitment to client service.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and various applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team dynamic.
  • Ability to work outside the core business hours as needed.
  • Must be able to adhere and comply with the Firm's Agile Working Policy which requires employees to work from the office at least three days each calendar week.
  • Must be independently legally authorized to work in the United States.

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $145,000 to $165,000. The actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
