What is the role about?

This position has primary responsibility to support the various Endress+Hauser gas measurement services and products throughout North America. This role provides customer service by effectively managing customer expectations and provides technical support during normal business hours when working from office or home location.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Responsible for onsite customer and technical support, reporting any issues to management and providing daily status reports.
  • Perform site surveys and installation support of equipment, including data gathering of the area that a unit or system is to be installed, completion of questionnaires, and preparing customer for pending commissioning.
  • Perform onsite commissioning support, monitor installed equipment for proper operation, and adjust as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, replace, and perform annual inspections on equipment.
  • Make and verify electrical connections of equipment.
  • Configure complex systems utilizing laptop and configuration software.
  • Create equipment configuration files and make changes independently without supervision.

What do we expect from you?

You will have (required):

  • Associate degree, technical school or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of prior field service experience within the gas measurement industry.
  • Extensive use of hand tools, test equipment, and basic construction knowledge.
  • This is a travel position and will require domestic and international travel up to 75%.
  • Availability to work alternative schedules including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.

You may have (preferred):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or combined experience, education, and training.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • OSHA 10 minimum or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Experience with configuration of continuous emission monitoring systems which includes sample conditioning systems and gas detection and analysis. The gas detection and analysis must have the following operation principles: non-dispersive infrared (NDIR), ultraviolet, electromechanical, electromagnetic, laser, mercury, ultrasonic, scatter light, light extinction, and flame ionization detector (FID).
  • Understanding and knowledge of ultrasonic measurement systems, which includes custody and flare velocity of gas measurement and calculation of flow.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the main production process and parameters such as cement manufacturing, power generation, or scrubber control for the maritime industry.
  • Capable of presenting information clearly, articulating complex technical issues, and engaging with individuals at all levels.
  • Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks while adapting to shifting demands.
  • Prioritizes the customer perspective in business decisions by actively seeking to understand customer needs and problems, initiating solutions based on this understanding, and implementing feedback to enhance the overall experience and prevent future issues.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $70,600 to $95,300 per year. Exact compensation may vary depending on the education, skills, and experience each candidate brings to the role.
