Senior Research Assistant, Location: Navajo Nation

Responsible for work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research not related to clinical trials or laboratory. Works more independently with input into study design, statistical analysis and reporting.
The Senior Research Assistant will be an integral member of the BWH Navajo-based Program team.
-Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis and reporting.
-Plans, performs and designs statistical analyses.
-Independently judges suitability of study subjects.
-Contributes to writing manuscripts.
-Trains and orients new staff.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Science required

Experience

  • Relevant research and data management experience 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Careful attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.

  • Advanced computer literacy including database tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of data management programs.

  • Ability to follow directions and exhibit professionalism, and work more independently.



Other Requirements:

  • Willing to have a flexible working schedule tailored to the needs of the community

  • Willing to complete tasks in a timely manner

  • On-site remote position; must be willing to reside on or near the Navajo Nation

  • Must have their own vehicle and be willing to do considerable travel for community-based study activities.

  • Due to remote position, must have reliable internet, phone service and ability to work in a private, confidential setting

  • Must have a reliable vehicle as this position will include a large amount of travelling throughout the Navajo Nation.
