Job purpose The purpose of this position is to supervise Recovery Specialists to ensure that client's needs are meet in regard to transportation, hourly rounds, and room readiness. This position will be responsible for scheduling within budgetary limits. This position will work closely with the Director in the management of the program and staff. Pay Range: $41,600-$57,667 annually Duties and responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Oversee of all Recovery Specialists.
- Assist with daily management of the program and staff.
- Provide individual supervision to Recovery Specialists, along with re-direction, coaching etc.
- Will recruit and train Recovery Specialist support staff and provide supervision.
- Manage inventories and watch for inventory waste
- Provide tours of facilities as needed.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Schedule Recovery Specialist staff on regular basis to ensure safety and licensing compliance for staff client ratio and in keeping with budgeted hours.
- Responsible for performance reviews after probation period and annually thereafter.
- Oversee the travel log.
- Attend, participate, and present as appropriate for weekly staff meetings, staff in-service and meetings.
- Enforces facility policies with authority to issue corrective action as needed.
- Recovery Specialist Supervisors may not admit, transfer, or discharge clients. They may be directed to follow through with the process of implementation of the above by the director or designee.
- Provide on call guidance for recovery specialists and ensure shift coverage
Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 yrs. experience in a supervisory position.
- Minimum 1 yr. experience in a chemical dependency facility or related and 2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- CPR and first aid certified.

- Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
- Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities
- Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reporting

- Lifting Up to 50 pounds, client luggage, supplies, cleaning
- Standing Up to 8 hours per day
- Stair climbing Most facilities, up to 20% of time
- Driving Cars and 15 passenger vans, average 2-4 hours per day, up to 8 hours per day
- Sitting Varies, 2 hours
- Reaching 2 hours per day unless driving
- Bending 10% of time
- Squatting 10% of time
- Walking Up to 8 hours per day
