We are currently seeking a Mortgage Closing/Post Closing Manager that will direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the Mortgage Closers, Mortgage Coordinator, Mortgage Admin Asst and Mortgage Post Closing Processors utilizing established policies and procedures, corporate standards and regulatory guidelines. The Mortgage Closing/Post Closing Manager will assist the Director of Mortgage Operations in development and maintenance of mortgage related guidelines, policies and procedures and will be responsible for the daily goals and operations of the teams to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy while maintaining an internal and external customer centric focus.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $121,300 per year. Final salary will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Accountabilities

Pipeline Management, Reporting and Compliance

    Develop and manage closing pipeline reports to track and monitor loans to maintain established service levels and meet scheduled closing dates.
  • Create and manage post-closing pipeline reports to track and monitor loans to ensure loans are reviewed and boarded to core servicing system timely.
  • Create and manage daily loan shipping reports to ensure loans are delivered to investors timely.
  • Ensure loans are closed in compliance with ONB policies and procedures, investor guidelines and applicable mortgage lending laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain reports as requested by Management for Closing and Post Closing

Customer Service Excellence

  • Act as a liaison between the Closing and Post-Closing teams with Sales, Processing and Underwriting to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Foster a customer-centric atmosphere emphasizing time sensitive responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Exceed internal and external expectations with accurate and timely preparation and delivery of closing documents.
  • Manage escalated internal and external customer concerns.

Talent Development and Growth

  • Interview, hire and train Closers and Post-Closers. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • Conduct associate reviews identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing performance plans when appropriate.
  • Guide and direct the Closing team in preparation, creation and delivery of closing packages accurately and efficiently within established service levels.
  • Guide and direct the Post-Closing team in accurate review of post-closing documents with a strong emphasis on timely delivery of reviewed files to Loan Services and the Secondary Market team.
  • Drive team accountability.

  • Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and compliance at the state and federal level, as well as mortgage investor guidelines as they pertain to Closing and Post-Closing.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in Mortgage Lending Operations.
  • 5 or more years in a mid-level supervisory capacity.
  • Experience to include but not limited to Loan Origination Software, FHA Connection, VA Portal, MERS.
  • Experience with multiple mortgage investors and state housing agencies
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
