The Capital Equipment (CE) Analyst will play a key role in the global finance transformation initiative under the Magellan program, with a focus on enhancing Finance Planning & Analysis capabilities and driving global process harmonization within the service and capital equipment area. This role will involve close collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including business divisions, regional teams, and service operations, to ensure alignment and thorough documentation of planning and reporting processes.The CE Analyst will be focus on Service revenue, COGS, etc, and will work closely with IT teams and Business Finance Leads to translate the desired future-state planning and reporting processes into detailed requirements for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. This initiative will be rolled out initially in the EMEA region, followed by subsequent deployments in the United States and other regions. This multifaceted role demands a combination of technical expertise, financial acumen, and collaborative skills to ensure the successful delivery of the S/4HANA implementation, while simultaneously enhancing the organization's financial planning and operational processes.

Main responsibilities



  • Collaborate on the Finance Capital Equipment S4/HANA implementation, focusing on system setup, configuration, testing, and integration.
  • Collaborate on the process & procedure documentation for Capital Equipment and Service.
  • Participate in designing and executing testing processes, including formal testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Support the development of test scripts and data to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring a smooth transition to the S4/HANA platform.
  • Collaboration with BA to maintain weekly status/project plan, ensuring progress transparency and alignment with project timelines.
  • Build acknowledgment and understanding of the Capital Equipment process, including controls, procedures, and workflows, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Partner on the next phase of the system build, contributing to the design, development, and implementation to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
  • Share knowledge and provide training to promote user adoption and system proficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Service Operations team to manage budget status, monitor monthly performance, analyze volumes and costs, and provide other necessary financial support.
  • Collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to support key financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide insights and analysis to help drive strategic decision-making, improve financial performance, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or Business.
  • 3-5 years of finance experience in the medical industry, ideally in a global organization.
  • Proficiency in FP&A processes such as costing, planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Flexibility to work across both European and U.S. time zones
  • Familiarity with SAP, Hyperion Planning and Salesforce (preferred).
  • Experience with system implementation processes (advantage).
  • Strong presentation and project management skills.
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
  • A detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset with the ability to perform efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative nature, and a team-player attitude.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
