Overview

Join our BSA/AML & OFAC Compliance team, where you will play a critical role in delivering robust reporting and analytics solutions to support compliance and operational goals. Working with minimal supervision, you will gather and analyze reporting requirements, leverage advanced reporting tools and systems, and build intuitive dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making.

The position involves analyzing business problems using business intelligence tools and vendor solutions to integrate and streamline data from internal and external sources. By developing a comprehensive understanding of business needs, you will identify key patterns and insights and provide actionable recommendations to enhance compliance processes.

As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to the growth of the team by providing guidance, sharing expertise, and promoting knowledge transfer. You will also focus on continuously improving existing reporting solutions by applying industry best practices, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency and governance.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to aligning reporting solutions align with regulatory compliance standards, including BSA/AML and OFAC requirements.

This role requires advanced proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to addressing evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements aligned with compliance and operational goals
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data sets, to drive insights into business performance
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations to support business decisions
  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, dashboards, and BI solutions
  • Produce actionable reports that highlight key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement, and provide root cause analysis of issues
  • Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and recommend strategies for optimizing business performance.
  • Communicate findings and provide business strategy recommendations to stakeholders
  • Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests.
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
  • Build working relationships with team members and subject matter experts
  • Lead small projects and initiatives
  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members in development of reporting and analytics solutions, fostering skill growth and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in compliance-related functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance framework (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC)
  • Advanced skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM and/or database software vendors
  • Advanced skill using statistical methods and mathematical techniques
  • Expertise in data manipulation, integration, cleaning, and validation
  • Advanced proficiency with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R
  • Proven ability to communicate data analysis and visualizations to nontechnical and senior audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to mentor and support team members in developing their technical and analytical capabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or related field

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based
on your experience, location, and market position. The salary range for this position is: $96,900 - $162,850 annually.
