Sales Trainer II

Myriad Genetics is hiring a Sales Trainer to support training new hires for the Oncology and Urology Business Units. The Sales Trainer will be responsible for onboarding and early integration of new hires into the sales teams. Responsibilities include conducting skills gap analyses, preparing learning material and evaluating results after each training session. Additionally in this role, you will work closely with sales and marketing leadership to identify sales team training needs and develop resources to support business goals. Ultimately, you will help increase the overall performance of our sales teams and ensure they have the skills to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities may include:



  • Content Development and Deployment - must be able work within the business unit and corporate context to identify appropriate materials and content for new hire onboarding and integration, make recommendations and develop new materials as necessary and work with cross functional teams to ensure appropriate information is conveyed to new hires in a timely fashion.
  • Presentation Skills - must be able to provide clear direction, present in a variety of settings, utilize time management skills, be flexible and apply adult learning principles.
  • Coaching - ability to diagnose trainees' skill level and determine needs of development, coach on performance and behavioral issues, provide encouraging and constructive feedback. Comfortable making recommendations to management team regarding new hire next steps and needs for further development and integration into selling role.
  • Planning - manage multiple activities, collaborate with internal team members proactively, develop effective training content, agendas, and workshops.
  • Leadership - model personal and professional values, align department goals with corporate strategy, develop effective relationships, build team synergy within and across all commercialization teams, maintain a strong connection/ presence with the sales force and marketplace.
  • Teamwork - work well in a team environment, gain trust and support of peers, find common ground, and provide solutions, manage resources (people, funding, material, support) to accomplish stated goals.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of sales experience selling to Health Care Professionals in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Diagnostic Industries
  • Experience in the Oncology and/or Urologic Oncology therapeutic area is preferred
  • Ability to teach both product knowledge and selling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Trainer or similar role is a bonus
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to travel to Salt Lake City one week per month
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's policy



Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements - light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
