Overview

The Manager of Carle Foundation Hospital Supply Chain Services plans, organizes and directs the receiving, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the organization. Focuses on costs, operational efficiencies, customer service and quality of care. Responsible for management of Records Storage Facility ensuring all records are clean, safe and available for access when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates receiving, storage and distribution of supplies/equipment for the Region.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective and cost-efficient distribution system for service area
  • Investigates and resolves problems related to supply chain distribution or quality of service issues.
  • Regularly reviews existing systems and analyzes services for improved methods and efficiencies.
  • Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions
  • Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
  • Encourages participation and facilitates the completion of competencies for the Supply Chain Associate Ladder Program.
  • Leads engagement and performance enablement of the Supply Chain team.
  • Creates an environment for staff growth, development, career planning, productivity and satisfaction
  • Conducts staff meetings, monthly rounding sessions and promoting and encouraging participation in organizational initiatives.
  • Participates in Value Analysis meetings
  • Helps coordinate and implement any organizational supply and equipment standardization initiatives.
  • Assists in developing department budgets and continuously monitors costs
  • Ensure budgets for staff, supplies and equipment are met.
  • Develops, publishes, and revises policies and procedures for efficient operation of the Storeroom and Courier/Mail Services departments.
  • Directs supervisors regarding the implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Plan and forecast staffing and supply needs
  • Implement strategies for continuous improvement supporting and enhancing patient care.
  • Monitors and oversees the off-site storage facility
  • Ensure Carle processes are followed for safe/compliant records storage.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of records
  • Manages excess equipment and furnishings so these can be repurposed throughout the organization as needed.
  • Ensures appropriate donation or disposal to prevent buildup of any excess and maximize the available storage space.
  • Manages Carle's pool of fleet vehicles, including the purchase, deployment and maintenance of these vehicles.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $32.66per hour - $56.18per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
