Job Summary

As a Solution Consultant at Belden, you will play a key role as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert by driving pre-sales application support and technical guidance for our industrial products and solutions. As part of our Technical Solutions & Support team, you will collaborate with customers to understand their business challenges, and define problems, ensuring that customer ideas and visions are transformed into customized Belden solutions that deliver real business outcomes. In this role, you will focus on understanding our customers' business challenges, defining problems, and recommending innovative solutions tailored to their needs. Partnering with Sales and Professional Services, you foster collaboration and communication among internal and external stakeholders and elevate Belden's credibility as a trusted solution provider for industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead the development of technical solutions that integrate the capabilities of all Belden brands to address customer needs and highly impact business outcomes.

  
  
• 
  

  Partner with Sales to drive bookings growth by delivering outcome-based solutions aligned with vertical market strategies, and partner with Professional Services to identify billable attachments and services to ensure alignment.

  
  
• 
  

  Translate customer requirements and problem statements into actionable technical solutions with demonstrable financial impact and billable services.

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with internal teams to define the scope of services and engage with customers by executing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

  
  
• 
  

  Support the transition from pre-sales to post-sales, ensuring seamless implementation and customer satisfaction.

  
  
• 
  

  Travel extensively (50% or more) to build strong customer relationships, deliver technical support, and maintain expertise in customer applications through webinars, roadshows, trade fairs, and customer visits.

  
  
• 
  

  Represent customers' voice in Business Unit strategy and new product introduction processes.

  
  

Required Skills and Experience

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

  
  
• 
  

  8+ years of consultative experience in industrial or enterprise environments and proven expertise in OT/IT integration, MPSL-TP, and data acquisition/transmission technologies.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong ability to translate technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for various audiences and/or deep consultative experience.

  
  
• 
  

  Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of key technology and market trends, and Competitors' solutions.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong technical knowledge of network communication systems and related technologies.

  
  
• 
  

  Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development.

  
  
• 
  

  Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%+ travel frequency).
