We're seeking dedicated, an experienced Cook to bring their culinary talents to our newest Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community in Corcoran, MN! Join us to help deliver exceptional, compassionate care to seniors as part of one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers.

Schedule currently available includes working every other weekend and every other holiday:



  • 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Part-Time - 64 hours per pay period)
  • 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Part-Time - 48 hours per pay period)
  • 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Part-time - 32 hours per pay period)

Location Information

Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities: Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Woodbury, and our newest location Corcoran, Minnesota!

Saint Therese of Corcoran is now open! This campus is full of social vibrancy in an urban setting, with distinctive living spaces and a variety of amenities to create an experience the resident is looking for to create their future home. The campus will offer 153 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments. Amenities of the site include dining options, wellness center with pool, library, lounge area, golf simulator, salon, and wood shop area.

Responsibilities:

The Cook position is responsible for creating high-quality meals for our residents, ensuring that all food is crafted to meet established state and local food codes, regulations, and best practices. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in meal preparation to maintain the highest standards of nutrition and safety.

Job duties encompass a range of responsibilities including cooking and baking, as well as cleaning equipment and maintaining operations. You will prepare both hot and cold meals for residents, manage food service for the coffee shop and special events, and carry out general cleaning tasks to ensure a well-organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED. Vocational training in quantity food preparation preferred.

Experience:



  • Minimum of one year cooking experience is required, with a background in preparing and cooking meals in a restaurant, event catering, school, or healthcare/senior services setting.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal food-handling regulations and food service operations is highly desired.


Special knowledge, skills and abilities



  • Ability to read English and follow dietary cards, menus and production sheets.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to communicate through English oral and written skills.
  • Able to meet physical demands of position.
  • Able to read and follow production sheets, menus and recipes.
  • Able to work cooperatively with others.
  • Demonstrates good telephone courtesy.

Wage: $22.63 - $30.72/hour, depending on experience
