We are looking for an experienced Clinical Director of Nursing (RN) to work in Avon, Ohio at the Saint Therese/St. Mary of the Woods campus. This campus is a senior living community that offers a variety of housing options and levels of care, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short term rehabilitation and respite care.

St. Mary of the Woods Community:

St. Mary of the Woods was built with a deep Catholic foundation, and it has an impeccable reputation for quality care in the marketplace. Built in 2005, it has 179 total units with 81 independent living apartments, 48 assisted living apartments and 50 rooms in skilled nursing and transitional care. It is a five-star facility licensed by Medicare and Medicaid, recognized as a 2024 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News and World Report and is open to people of any faith tradition.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Nursing is respondible and accountable for th overall management of the Nursing Department. Coordinates with other disciplnes to providee quality care to all residents. Supports and practices the philosophy, oplicies, and objctives of the Company. Monitors the outcomes of nursing services activity by coordinating facility commitees and using quality assurance program to implment efficient and effective nursing interventios. Ensures that the higest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Perofrms all duties using independent judgement and discretion to implement regulation and policy.

Qualifications



  • Successful completion of an approved nursing program for Registered Nurses, preferablly BSN
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in Ohio and in good standing
  • Any additional training with focus on clinical management, system integration or gerontology preferred.


Experience:



  • Experienced as a health care leader for at least three to five years, specifically in skilled nursing, clinical and/or acute care setting. Knowledge of legal and regulatory healthcare requirements of a skilled nursing environment.


Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Candidates must demonstrate experience, strong leadership in managing multi-level health care in a campus setting as well as knowledge of service integration concepts, clinical analytics and community health.
  • Desired candidates will have experience in and commitment to:

    • Building a strong team focused on providing a high quality of care for the customer's well-being
    • Establishing and monitoring best practices and clinical/outcome analytics
    • Integrating holistic clinical programs within the campus, company and community
    • Coordinating continued quality and program improvement

    • Maintaining high clinical performance and quality

    • Demonstrated working knowledge of nursing department functions with special emphasis on compliance with Federal and State regulations.
    • Knowledge of the scope of the Minnesota Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
    • Demonstrated abilities to participate in and collaborate with groups.
    • Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others.
    • High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
