Cyber Security Analyst

Location: Hunt Valley, MD, United States (remote)

**Selected candidate may need to visit office on need basis.

Job Summary

The Vulnerability Analyst is responsible for coordinating the organization's vulnerability management program across Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) systems, third-party applications, and those that utilize AI and machine learning technologies. This includes identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and remediating security vulnerabilities to minimize risk across the enterprise.

* The Vulnerability Analyst works closely with the security, IT, OT, and AI/ML teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner.

* Develop, implement, and maintain the vulnerability management strategy and policies for IT and OT

* Ensure the vulnerability management program aligns with the organization's overall security objectives and risk management framework

* Implement processes to validate the effectiveness of vulnerability remediation in IT

* Track and report on vulnerability management metrics and KPIs for IT and OT

Required Qualifications:

* Solid understanding of common vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, and remediation methods in IT and OT.

* Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and technologies like Rapid7 / Defender

* Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Project management and process improvement skills

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position [$50,000 to $85,000] is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
