POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Claims provides strategic leadership for our field adjusting operations while concurrently driving business development initiatives and client acquisition efforts. This executive position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence in claims handling while expanding our market presence through new business opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead all aspects of claims operations, ensuring efficient processing, regulatory compliance, and operational scalability
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to secure new partnerships with insurance carriers, self-insured entities, TPAs, and government agencies
  • Oversee performance metrics, vendor relationships, and profitability of the claims department
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic client relationships to enhance market position and revenue growth
  • Implement and optimize claims handling protocols to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in claims management, with specific background in field adjusting and property & casualty insurance
  • Demonstrated success in business development with verifiable track record of securing contracts with insurance carriers or comparable entities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of claims processes, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices in independent adjusting
  • Advanced negotiation skills for developing service agreements, pricing models, and partnership contracts
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Superior relationship management capabilities with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives and key decision-makers
  • Experience in catastrophe event claims management and large-scale adjuster deployment (preferred)
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and data analytics platforms to drive performance optimization
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with commitment to team development and fostering a results-oriented organizational culture

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
