Director, Head of Core Compliance and Control Room & LATAM Advisory - (employer: Natixis North America LLC; job location: New York, NY) - Plan and implement key projects and strategic initiatives to ensure that the firm and its employees conduct business in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations across the Latin America (LATAM) region. Manage all aspects of Compliance support and staff in providing guidance to all desks conducting business in LATAM. This includes providing transaction advice and day-to-day regulatory guidance; coordinating compliance efforts across various compliance and other support groups to support businesses; developing an understanding of the lines of products offered by assigned business lines, the relevant rules and regulations as well as the types of compliance issues associated with the respective business lines; evaluating compliance with policies and procedures and internal controls through compliance reviews and training sessions; and ensuring regulatory and internal audits examinations of assigned activities. Lead team in performing regulatory inquiries. Oversee the review of global compliance policies and determine whether they comply with local requirements. Participate in various Americas and global projects and assess impact on relevant businesses. Direct staff in developing and conducting targeted training modules to address various regulatory and other risks. Develop compliance policies and procedures related to LATAM regulations, and provide advice/input to the Americas Chief Compliance Officer with respect to various LATAM regulatory initiatives. Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: utilizing knowledge of LATAM regulations on marketing and lending practices in Mexico; executing a compliance program, including risk assessment methodology, annual control, and training plans; responding to regulatory inquiries and potential findings; utilizing knowledge of M&A, Financing, Acquisition Financing, multiple bidding situations, and Equity and Bond Offerings; and utilizing knowledge of fixed income businesses including Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO). This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York City office and flexibility to telecommute from tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT). Salary: $220,272 - $225,000/year.
