Vice President, Sr. Supervisor, Audit

Vice President, Sr. Supervisor, Audit – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Banco Santander, S.A.) - Execute complex audit testing. Lead projects, document audit testing, perform follow-up tasks, execute control design, participate in the development of audit steps, provide guidance to team members and review/approve workpapers. Draft audit recommendations to be presented to the Audit Manager. Attend and participate in audit training sessions. Perform post-audit follow-ups to determine adequacy of corrective actions taken to address audit recommendations. Review and oversee testing of more junior team members. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Accounting, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or Finance, plus three years of experience in the offered position or as Senior Analyst, Model Risk Audit. All required experience must have included overseeing internal audit reviews and activities for a bank, including audit planning, field work and reviews, testing and work paper preparation, executing control design and operating effectiveness testing, writing comprehensive audit reports, and performing post-audit follow-up; examining business records, financial statements, and other financial information; identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks by applying knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards and accounting principles; adhering to the International Professional Practices Framework of the Institute of Internal Auditors; using data analytics tools Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), MySQL and Python to analyze large datasets for patterns, anomalies or areas of concern; and leading, guiding and training team of auditors, and assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York City office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. #LI-DNI Salary: $143,750-$180,000/year.
