Senior Software Engineer

Job Description: Design and develop software, using C++, Golang and Java for delivering features in collaboration with other vested parties. Perform code reviews and make recommendations on how to improve our software development processes. Help shape architecture, development practices, and escalation policies as the teams and the product grow. Work with cross-role partners, and other teams to specify, prioritize and deliver new features that delight our users. Estimate task complexity, report progress, and assess and voice risks for projects they are involved in. Contribute heavily to the maintenance of the existing codebase and contributing to thoughtful extensions of important customer facing features. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in distributed systems, databases or related role or in the job offered.

Experience and/or education must include:   

1. Knowledge of Data structures and Algorithms for developing high performance data intensive applications such as stream processing engines;

2. Distributed systems: Atlas Stream processing;

3. Databases: Knowledge of database internals to ensure correct design/implementation decisions;

4. Muti-threaded/high concurrency systems for processing of streaming data and customer access;

5. C++, Golang, and Java; and 

6. Modern software development practices, including version control and deployment techniques.
