Job Title: Field Engineer Tech 1st

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Overall Function:

The Field Engineer Tech 1st performs activities related to the engineering functions of production and serves as a liaison between the Engineering Department and the production team. This role supports the successful execution of production tasks through field engineering, drafting, and collaboration with various departments.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required:

* Perform field engineering activities in support of the production process.

* Shipcheck areas on the vessel, able to get in tight areas, crawl, climb or enter manholes

* Provide production-related technical details and clarification to craft personnel.

* Create field sketches and prepare material lists by way of YEC (Yard Engineering Change); FECN (Field Engineering Change Notice) for review by Field Engineer Manager.

* Determine material needs related to revisions, fitting/outfitting activities, and scope changes.

* Collaborate with craft teams to assess and resolve fitting/outfitting issues.

* Address and resolve routine production-related problems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of shipyard production processes and how they relate to engineering functions.

* Familiarity with division policies, procedures, and operational practices.

* Ability to set priorities, establish and meet goals, and work collaboratively across departments.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience and Training:

* Three (3) or more years of experience in marine industry crafts or production.

* One (1) or more years of drafting experience related to production.

* Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered if they result in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

* AutoCAD/Shipconstructor

* NAVIS

* SharePoint

* Microsoft Platform; EXCEl, MS Word, PowerPoint
