3D Artist

BTS Software Solutions is seeking a 3D Artist to support military operational exercise objectives. This opportunity is for an upcoming award expected in May 2025.

Job Description:

Designs and creates high quality assets leveraging creative expertise to produce high quality models for Unity games, apps, and augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences. Leverages creativity, expertise in people and marketing, and detail orientation. Creates models and textures in a variety of styles and levels of detail. Works in a fast paced, growing immersive team creating unique immersive games and experiences for government and commercial clients. Proficiency with modelling, sculpting, UVing, and texturing. This opportunity is for an upcoming award expected May 2025.

Primary Location: Fort Eustis Virginia or Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field

Relevant Experience:

• Proficiency with 2D and 3D software packages, including 3D Studio Max, Maya, Substance, Marmoset toolbag and Photoshop
• Experience with lighting and rendering techniques
• Experience with 3D sculpting software, such as Zbrush or Mudbox
• Experience developing interactive content for web or game engines
• Knowledge of 2 or more of the following areas of art creation: illustration, concepting, graphics design, UI/UX, 3D animation, 2D animation, rigging, or VFX
• Ability to provide a portfolio demonstrating expertise in developing 3D assets and comprehension of the asset creation pipeline
• An eagerness to collaborate across disciplines with team members at all levels.
• Resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines with minimal direction at times.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

3+ years of experience with 3D asset creation. 2+ years of experience with a modern real-time game engine, specifically Unity. Must be a US citizen.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000
