SVP, CA / US Operations

Role Overview:

TheSenior Vice President, US & Canadian Operationsis responsible for driving operational excellence across our fleet management business, ensuring the consistent and reliable delivery of our products and services to a diverse client base. This leader will drive operational efficiency, optimize processes, and create value for our clients through deep expertise in operations. They will also empower and enable teams to deliver at the highest level, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Operational Excellence & Efficiency

  • Lead and execute a comprehensive operational strategy that ensures the highest levels of service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Continuously refine and optimize processes to drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to improve KPIs related to fleet performance, customer service, and business outcomes.

Client-Centric Service Delivery

  • Ensure that all services and products are delivered reliably and consistently, exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop and refine operational best practices that maximize the value provided to clients.
  • Proactively address client feedback to enhance service delivery and operational performance.

People Leadership & Empowerment

  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Empower employees at all levels to take ownership of their roles and drive meaningful impact for clients.
  • Champion workforce development, coaching, and succession planning to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.

P&L and Financial Performance Management

  • Oversee P&L for US and Canadian operations, ensuring financial performance meets corporate objectives.
  • Drive operational cost efficiencies while maintaining high service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Leverage data and analytics to optimize budget allocation and resource utilization.

Product Innovation & Partnership

  • Actively collaborate with the Product team to continuously enhance and innovate fleet management solutions.
  • Ensure seamless alignment between operations and product development to support market growth and differentiation.
  • Drive the implementation of new technologies and process improvements that enhance service delivery and client value.

Scope & Impact

  • Significant Team Leadership
  • CA & US Operations P&L ownership
  • Strategic thought leader within the organization and across the broader market.
  • Expected to have influence & credibility both internally and in the external market.
  • This role is a member of the Element Executive team and will be expected to engage with global counterparts

Location:

  • In Element Owings Mills MD office weekly (when not traveling)

Education and Experience

  • 15 years of progressive experience in Fleet Management or logistics, with 8+ years in senior leadership positions
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management or related field; MBA preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of the leasing industry, fleet management, and/or transportation industry
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management for multi-million-dollar operations
  • In-depth knowledge of operational regulations, compliance, industry and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience influencing C-suite decision makers to ensure optimal partnerships and outcomes
  • Appetite and willingness to travel as needed on a global scale with frequent travel to US regional offices to provide boots on the ground leadership and participation in delivering on the mandate.

  • Seasoned people leader with ability to recruit, retain, develop, discipline, and motivate a team
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a seasoned team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical financial and administration initiatives
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation/communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, customers, and team members
  • Strong operational / process improvement skills and demonstrated ability to influence and optimize processes to drive, business synergies and productivity
  • Excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills

The hiring base salary range for this position is $260,000 - $320,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
