DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Applications Developer II at the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, you will be responsible for developing application solutions that address business problems and needs. This involves meeting with business stakeholders to confirm requirements and demonstrate application functionality. You will work closely with project management to break down work into tasks and estimate the level of effort required. Additionally, you will collaborate with management to prioritize assignments and deliver solutions that enhance business efficiency. Your role will include determining database requirements and preparing technical designs for highly complex systems.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, upon successful completion of the training period. Management may discontinue the telework agreement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
- Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience developing applications as an individual or as part of a team.
- You must have experience prioritizing tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines effectively and in assigned timeframes.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Possession of one or more of these Microsoft certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate; Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate; Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate; Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
- Demonstrated experience developing Microsoft Power Platform and/or Copilot Studio solutions
- Experience with Hyland OnBase
- Ability to stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in Microsoft technologies
