Architect I

To help us grow into our next century, RK&K is currently seeking an Architect to be a part of our growing architectural studio, bringing projects to life from concept development through construction.

As an Architect in the RK&K Architecture Studio, you will collaborate with our senior architects and other discipline leads and will be responsible for conceptual designs/ space planning/ programming, existing building evaluations, and production of design and contract documents. Daily activities will include production of CADD and/ or REVIT drawings and details, 3D renderings, project presentations and report narratives, organization and formatting.

• Conduct site visits, record existing conditions, draft narratives.
• Document layout and production, photo simulations, renderings, concept design, producing construction documents and drawing details
• Assist with layouts for reports, drawings, standards, portfolio etc. (page layout, illustrative sections, photo simulations, plan renderings)
• Coordinate with team members in other disciplines within RK&K and with our sub consultants.
• Support project managers with meetings, material development, meeting summaries, and final deliverables.

• 2-5 years' experience performing architecture.
• Minimum I Four year undergraduate or Five year professional degree in Architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation and Adobe Creative Suites.
• A self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Must have an active portfolio and/or work samples for review.
• Familiarity with current building envelope technologies and Health, Safety, and Welfare design considerations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to multi-task, work on many diverse building types, and to collaborate with other disciplines.

• Previous experience with design of infrastructure projects
• Master's Degree Architecture
• Familiarity with Architectural specifications in CSI formatting.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling software
• Proficiency on Enscape or other rendering software
