Job Overview

The Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring production, inventory, and customer service goals are met across multiple manufacturing locations, both internal and external to the organization. This position will drive organizational improvements through establishment of capacity planning processes, metrics, and reporting and will untimely ensure alignment and accountability of the manufacturing sites with the needs of the business. This position will also be a key leader in the SIOP process.

A Day In The Life

  • Define and create a long term planning process for manufacturing sites
  • Project inventory plan and supply constraints through forecasted periods
  • Ensure short term goals are met through existing and yet to be defined KPI's
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Supply side lead for monthly SIOP process
  • Ability to effectively analyze data through ad-hoc analysis and make appropriate recommendations to the business
  • Develop and document processes and procedures
  • Improve standardization and functionality of ERP systems
  • Key liaison between Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance
  • Project management

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Must be detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with SAP
  • Experience with Planning, Forecasting, Analytical software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project or other project management software
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • 5-10 years in Supply Chain leadership role
  • APICS certification desired
