As an, University Student Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for converting student inquiries into applicants through proactive outreach and strategic communication. This role is heavily focused on inside recruitment, requiring frequent calling, emailing, and texting to engage prospective students, address their questions, and guide them through the admissions process.
They will assist with the university student recruitment lead generation implementation in partnership with marketing communications to meet the needs of enrollment goals for identified programs. Utilizing the CRM system, the specialist will track interactions, analyze data, and execute targeted recruitment campaigns. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills are essential for ensuring a seamless and personalized admissions experience. Must be able to represent the Medical College of Wisconsin in a professional manner, recruit, and work within a diverse community, and follow all policies and procedures with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and listening abilities; persuasive and negotiation skills, strong professional writing, public speaking, interpersonal and public relations skills. Strong recruitment, sales, and customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic and a goal-oriented, self-motivated approach toward achieving consistent results.
Outreach and Engagement: Proactively communicate with prospective students via phone, text, and email to provide timely information about programs, admissions processes, and deadlines.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with students and their families, offering guidance on scholarships, and affordability options to ensure a personalized admissions experience.
Conversion Strategy: Execute targeted communication campaigns to improve conversion rates at each stage of the admissions funnel, including inquiry to completed applicant, admit to deposit, and deposit to enrolled student.
Utilize the CRM to log activities, manage relationships, send and receive communications, and analyze data to support business objectives.

Ability to connect with and influence potential students via phone calls, emails, chat, and face-to-face communication
Able to thrive in a matrix environment to collaborate with other leaders within the system, especially with Finance, IS, marketing communications leaders and academic leaders
Project management, organizational, and time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments, handle multiple projects and details simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines
Provides exceptional customer service by actively listening, responding promptly and professionally, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Effectively converts inquiries into enrolled students by building rapport, understanding prospective students' needs, providing clear and persuasive information, and guiding them through the enrollment process

Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis. Minimum education: Bachelor's degree Minimum experience: 3+ years: in MS Office suite, customer relationship management systems (Preferably Slate CRM), and in engaging in high-volume phone communication throughout the workday. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Strategy or Communications. Preferred experience: Slate CRM certification preferred.
