Your team

Baxter's goal is to empower clinicians and health systems with the tools to make a difference in patients and clinician's lives. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of our mission as well as learn from more experienced engineers working in medical device development.

Baxter is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the R&D team at our Bellevue office for the summer. This is a hybrid role that allows a flexible schedule for remote and onsite work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Innovate and generate mechanical designs for new products, improvements to existing ones, and product assemblies.
  • Serve as project lead on mechanical-related projects.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment, helping to establish lean but effective practices.
  • Deliver high quality and timely results to meet the business needs.
  • Work cross-functionally to contribute to deliverables during the product development lifecycle.

What you'll bring:

  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other equivalent.
  • Experience and familiarity with CAD software tools, such as SolidWorks.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • An autonomous self-starter personality with a culture of collaboration.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
