Essential Job Duties
The Veterinary Medicine Library ( VML) Student Assistant plays an essential role as the first point of contact for library access and research-related support to the College of Veterinary Medicine, located on the Centennial Biomedical campus. Students in this role will work alongside library staff to provide patrons superior customer service while assisting with routine library operations. Students will: answer queries via phone, email, and chat, check out materials, assist with troubleshooting technological issues, scan articles, shelve books, and conduct basic research to respond and refer reference questions. Students may also be responsible for opening or closing the library and other duties as needed. Some moderate lifting, up to 30lbs, may be required.

Requirements and Preferences


Work Schedule Varies. Candidates must have consistent availability of at least 10 hours per week for the Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 academic year, including at least two weekdays between 11am - 6pm or 6pm - 11pm, or weekends.

  • Knowledge of library services and resources is a plus but not required.
  • Able to manage time and accomplish assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
