THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Shifts Available:

Full Time; AM 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is around $125,258.42 - $154,736.95 annually. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Communications is a communications leadership role that focuses on supporting and strengthening Telecare's overall brand and reputation; carrying and cultivating Telecare's culture; maintaining the overall quality and consistency of Telecare's communications work; and supporting the communications team and vendors in doing excellent work in an engaged, empower, growth-oriented way. The Senior Manager of Communications is a dynamic and experienced communications professional who leads people, processes, projects, and teams efficiently and effectively, and helps the organization achieve its goals and objectives.

The Senior Manager of Communications position is hybrid, with approximately 75% of the role being fully remote and 25% being field-based, either at the corporate office or working in the field at programs. The Senior Manager of Communications role must operate on Pacific Standard Time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field

* Twelve (12) years of experience in a similar role or related position, including supervisory experience

* Proven track record in communications quality management

* Proven track record in reputation management, and media and public relations, including crisis management

* Proven track record in strategic and executive-level communications and project management

* Proven track record in strategy development and communications team leadership

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders.

* Oversees the overall quality control of Telecare communications, including hands-on support, consulting, guidance, and mentorship to Telecare's communications team members, as well as Telecare leaders and staff, to achieve high-quality communications results.

* Oversees Telecare's reputation- and media-management efforts, including media and public relations, crisis management, union negotiations, legal issues, and proactive visibility efforts (earned and paid media, social media, etc.), in partnership with counsel, consultants, executives, and other Telecare leaders and staff.

* Oversees critical events, conferences, and higher-stakes projects and initiatives.

* Supervises the Communications Specialist and Communications Coordinator including, coaching, performance management, performance review, hiring and termination.

* Partners with the Director Communications in overall team management, including establishing strategy, team supervision, workload management, etc.

* Responsible to oversee the maintenance and organization of communication assets and content for easier self-service and re-use.

* Responsible to streamline and improve communication processes and practices for greater efficiency and self-sufficiency.

* Responsible for maintaining brand and messaging standards, and ensure communications quality, consistency, and accuracy.

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.

SKILLS

* Comfortable with graphic design and ensuring consistency with brand standards

* Fluency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Office 365 software including Outlook and Teams

* Fluency with design software (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere)

* Fluency with social media platforms and online content management (SquareSpace, etc.)

* Fluency with customer relationship management tools (Salesforce, etc.)

* Fluency with email marketing tools (MailChimp, etc.)

* Fluency with online analytics (website, email marketing, etc.)

* Confidence and experience in advising leaders and teams on communications strategies and plans

* Ability to craft effective, targeted communications for diverse audiences at all levels
