HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Senior IT Business Analyst - Care Digital. The Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in supporting requirement elicitation and documentation, coordinating with operational business teams, triaging production incidents, and driving foundational technology needs as well as process improvements. This role has a particular focus on our digital scheduling and authenticated patient experience.

As part of the digital product management team, the BA assists the Product Owner, interpreting the prioritization of work efforts and translating business needs into technical requirements for the IT agile team. It involves working across IT groups, business partners and clinic operations to coordinate and prioritize deliverables, as well as maintaining technical and security standards, while ensuing value delivery.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, management information systems or six (6) years of professional IT experience
  • Three (3) years of agile team experience (scrum, kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.)
  • Three (3) years of experience as a liaison between business partners and application development team members analyzing, documenting, and validating requirements/acceptance criteria.
  • Three (3) years of experience in workflow management and IS&T incident resolution.
  • One (1) year of experience in current healthcare software and/or hardware technology.
  • One (1) year of experience in small- to medium-sized project management/leadership
  • One (1) year of hands-on experience with database, programming languages and/or end-user software in a complex networked environment
  • Highly proficient in:

    • Word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
    • Written and oral communication with technical and non-technical teams
    • Problem analysis and triaging
    • Systems thinking
    • Arbitration and negotiation

  • Experience working in the Atlassian Software Suite: Jira, Confluence
  • Able to manage and manage a high degree of change.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the healthcare care delivery and/or insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with user analytics, A/B testing, SEO, component-based UI, and data-driven experience


Hours/Location:



  • M-F; Days
  • This is a hybrid position that may require occasional onsite attendance for work group sessions and meetings.


Responsibilities:



  • Develops technical specifications; consulting on technical design to align with business needs.
  • Analyzes and interprets IT's business partner needs into functional requirements.
  • Reviews application problems, creating and documenting functional and technical specification for the solutions.
  • Serves as a liaison between business partners and application development team members to analyze, document and validate functional requirements.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents.
  • Leads internal projects to support and/or improve business processes.
  • Partner with UX and technical leads to design screens, reports, and dataflow to align with business needs.
  • Documents business priorities for IT service changes; triaging and overseeing actions, changes to priorities, and issues regarding those requests for the application development staff.
  • Gathers information regarding costs and resource availability.
  • Tracks, maintains, and retains documentation that supports the adherence to IT standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Provides analysis and ensures that business partners understand the value of process, policy, and/or procedural changes for IT.
  • Provides training, documentation, and support for ITs business partners for system changes and/or new developments.
  • Documents data flows through applications; demonstrating system functionality.
  • Coordinates and enables testing within the same test environment; running programs and producing reports to aid business testing.
  • Maintains and prioritizes testing issues logs; ensuring that issues and scope changes are managed.
  • Provides support for requests and incidents, utilizing programming tools; correcting issues in both development and production.
  • Research issues using business expertise to determine cause and expected outcome; providing documentation to the development group.
  • Adapt to changes in scope, timelines, or goals as needed.
