THE JOB: As a VIP Lounge Assistant Manager at MGM Grand, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Assume full responsibility for the department in the absence of the director or department head, overseeing daily operations. Respond to guest service interactions in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolutions and maintaining high standards of service excellence. Promote and develop a team-oriented philosophy, emphasizing the importance of unparalleled commitment to service excellence. Oversee the hiring, training, and succession planning processes, ensuring they align with the Company's diversity commitment and standards. Ensure department standards are met for correct charging, postings, payment collection, cash handling, and balancing of all cash and cash equivalent transactions. Ensure proper use and maintenance of hotel property and equipment. Supervise VIP Representatives' performance, applying progressive discipline when necessary, and track attendance reports. Submit payroll for VIP staff and order supplies for the department as needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Works varied shifts including holidays and weekends 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Casino or Hotel Operations Food Handlers and TAM card required to start 2+ Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
