About the Role

As an Indirect Procurement Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement department's operations and gaining practical experience in procurement processes and supplier management. You will join the Indirect Procurement team supporting Corporate Services. The Indirect Procurement team is responsible for executing sourcing and category management for areas such as marketing, HR, IT, logistics, manufacturing, and facilities. You will work closely with the procurement team to assist in various tasks and projects, contributing to the organization's overall efficiency and success. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about procurement practices and develop essential skills for a career in supply chain management.

What You Will Do

  • Gain hands on Indirect Procurement experience by supporting negotiations and cost savings projects.

  • Support various digitization and optimization projects within the Indirect Procurement department.

  • Analyze supplier spend data to identify trends and opportunities for savings.

  • Update supplier data records as needed.

  • Interact with stakeholders across the organization to identify sourcing needs.

  • Support Procurement Operations team with supplier onboarding and engagement.

  • Complete a project plan and final project summary which will be presented to Executive management.

What You Need

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

What is Nice to Have

  • Advanced excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.

  • Basic knowledge of procurement principles is a plus.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.

  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

  • Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2028 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Pay Transparency

Freshman: $19.00
Sophomore: $21.00
Junior: $23.00
Senior: $24.00
Master: $28.00

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
