Responsible for managing all aspects related to the Peer Tutoring and Presidential Scholars programs. Responsibilities include overall program administration and execution including but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, training, and supporting student tutors; managing the online tutor scheduling system; managing the Peer Tutoring Center; maintaining the tutor Canvas training site; collaborating with faculty subject coordinators; performing data analysis and sharing; communicating with Admissions on Presidential Scholar recruitment process; programming and supporting scholars from first year through senior year; and as a member of the Undergraduate Experiential Learning & Academic Excellence team, collaborating and supporting team improvement efforts and initiatives.

This position requires working 24 hours per week.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Independently manages all aspects of Peer Tutoring Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters which includes recruiting, hiring, and supervising student tutors; overseeing the Peer Tutoring Center; meeting 1:1 with tutors each semester for support and feedback; providing resources and addressing concerns that arise; and managing online scheduling software for tutors, students, content, policies, etc. and maintains the Peer Tutoring SharePoint site.

Organizes and facilitates ongoing tutor training including developing and designing content as needed; partners with campus partners for content as needed as well.

Communicates with faculty coordinators of different subject areas.

Maintains marketing materials for Peer Tutoring communication and information online.

Collaborates with campus stakeholders related to the Peer Tutoring Program including faculty coordinators, faculty, Human Resources, Public Safety, Facilities, and Student Advising & Success.

Promotes Peer Tutoring to students enrolled in courses supported by the program.

Maintains involvement with local peer tutoring association to stay up to date on the latest trends. Evaluates program and makes recommendations on how to improve the program.

Acts as a campus liaison and resource for Babson's cohort of Presidential Scholars which includes initial outreach during the summer and 1:1 meetings to first year scholars to check in.

Supports Presidential Scholars through mentoring, and professional development which varies year to year depending on student interest.

Coordinates assessment, feedback, and improvements of all programs.

Tracks student satisfaction through surveys. Evaluates programs, systems, and processes, and recommends opportunities for improvement. Implements key initiatives to add value to students.

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's Degree

Must have at least 3-5 years of related experience.

Must have excellent interpersonal, supervisory, oral, and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact with culturally diverse individuals at all levels of the organization.

Must have program management expertise.

Must have strong organizational and database management skills and attention to detail.

Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Ability to take initiative and work independently.

Must have exceptional multi-tasking skills working under minimal supervision.

Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.

Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Some early mornings and/or evenings and occasional weekends.

Hybrid work schedule with 1 day remote and increased remote flexibility based on time of year and position/program needs. Onsite days are on our Wellesley campus.

This position requires working 24 hours per week.
