Position Description The Senior Controls Engineer is a leadership role responsible for driving innovation in the design and integration of advanced control systems and BMS. This position leads complex projects, mentors engineering teams, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that our control systems meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Be a lead in the strategic design and development of cutting-edge controls systems and BMS solutions Oversee system integration, testing, and commissioning processes, ensuring optimal performance across all plant operations. Develop and implement advanced controls algorithms and automation strategies to enhance energy efficiency and system reliability. Serve as a technical expert and mentor for junior engineers, guiding best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that all control system designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks. Collaborate with R&D and production teams to innovate new technologies and improve existing systems based on field data and feedback Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Controls, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field within Engineering. 5+ years experience in industrial controls systems design, with proven expertise in BMS integration for HVAC Advanced proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, with strong experience in developing control algorithms. Extensive knowledge of industrial communication protocols and control system architecture. Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale projects and mentoring engineering teams. Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills, with a track record of driving continuous improvement. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. 15% anticipated travel is required to support the wide range of contacts necessary to develop and maintain appropriate information resources.
