Position Description

The Senior Controls Engineer is a leadership role responsible for driving innovation in the design and integration of advanced control systems and BMS. This position leads complex projects, mentors engineering teams, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that our control systems meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a lead in the strategic design and development of cutting-edge controls systems and BMS solutions
  • Oversee system integration, testing, and commissioning processes, ensuring optimal performance across all plant operations.
  • Develop and implement advanced controls algorithms and automation strategies to enhance energy efficiency and system reliability.
  • Serve as a technical expert and mentor for junior engineers, guiding best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all control system designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to innovate new technologies and improve existing systems based on field data and feedback
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Controls, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field within Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience in industrial controls systems design, with proven expertise in BMS integration for HVAC
  • Advanced proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, with strong experience in developing control algorithms.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial communication protocols and control system architecture.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale projects and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills, with a track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • 15% anticipated travel is required to support the wide range of contacts necessary to develop and maintain appropriate information resources.
