NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Equipment Coordinator based in our Concord, North Carolina office.

The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, maintenance and inventory of all Productions remote/field equipment. This position will also assist the Camera Operators on-site and on-location for select events.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain production equipment inventory, including camera, lighting, audio, etc.
  • Develop and refine processes to ensure accurate inventory records are available and always maintained.
  • Maintain supplies (batteries, lighting gels, data cards) and gear in the Camera Department.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs; ensure scheduling of repairs are made to avoid "down time" during race weeks and control costly rental fees.
  • Research and recommend new equipment purchases as needed.
  • Educate end users on the availability of new equipment, proper processes and procedure, and general use of all of Camera Department resources.
  • Assist in camera work and provide technical assistance in weekly field operations as requested.
  • Create and maintain Camera Department schedule, including emergency on-call contacts.

    Required skills / experience:
  • 2 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of film and television production procedures is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to develop a detailed understanding of ENG/EFP cameras, white balancing, setup and operation.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of lighting and the crafting of looks specific to different productions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organized and flexible to shifting priorities and schedules.
  • Ability to learn and support new technologies and equipment.
  • Ability to travel 10%, including weekends.
