Mechanical Engineer, Intermediate

Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer to support the Weapons Production Technology Directorate's Advanced Engineering Division's Mechanical Systems & Customized Equipment Development Group. The candidate will assist in developing, designing, fabricating, assembling, testing, and fielding specialty equipment and systems that will be deployed in unique operating environments. The candidate will need to have an excellent working knowledge and experience in Computer Aided Design and fabrication methods. Candidate will need to have experience in designing and fabricating custom components, equipment, and systems. Candidate should have experience in working in other research & development engineering programs and/or complex engineering design projects. Candidate will initially work on an interdisciplinary team and then be responsible for leading interdisciplinary teams to solve technical problems and deliver results.
