MAJOR FUNCTION

Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product with final distribution.

Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Pulling parts, packing and ready for shipment via FedEx, UPS, or Fleet
  • Must maintain accuracy of quantity, customer delivery time.
  • Must have excellent accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
  • Operates forklift, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
  • Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations and procedures.

MNIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma for general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to work unexpected overtime, as well as scheduled overtime.
  • Ability to use bar code gun scanners and to transfer in ERP system, where applicable
  • Prior forklift experience preferred, and will need to pass Nilfisk re-certification.
  • Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • May lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
  • Candidate must demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Must have good math skills and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to keep records of activities performed.
  • Must be able to read and write and speak English effectively.
  • Must be certified or be able to get certification of HAZMAT materials, if applicable.
  • Must be in good attendance standing.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Ability to use MS Office applications.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Forklift license.

The estimated pay range indicates the expected annualized pay range for this position. It may not include potential bonus incentives such as annual bonus' as well as sales and sales related incentives, or overtime (on eligible positions). The actual pay offered may vary based on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, education level, certifications or licenses, and the location from which they will work. The final pay determination will comply with state or local minimum wage laws applicable to the job's location. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
