Our Product Capability development and management groups are vital to our success and are leaders in driving the future growth of UnitedHealth Group. This position will be on the Optum Health Solutions (OHS) team and will be supporting the Musculoskeletal (MSK) business.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Understand and translate business strategies into concrete capability, network, and reporting requirements
  • Track the effectiveness of business requirements / capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of project scope and requirements
  • Use data to inform decisions, identify trends, and measure the impact of initiatives
  • Ensure that all processes and enhancements comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Create and maintain business documentation for product requirements
  • Coordinate and drive quality User Acceptance Testing on system enhancements/new products/production issues and proper follow-through of issue logs to closure
  • Identify, track, analyze, and resolve issues, while also preventing future problems

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of business analysis / product or capability management experience within a matrix organization
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Proficient in Cycle principles, Software Development Life Cycle principles and Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues along with the ability to identify and implement solutions to problems
  • Proven attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Proven to be a self-starter who can stay flexible and operate well in a changing environment and sometimes ambiguous environment



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience using data and research to formulate logical business recommendations
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changes in work direction and able to pivot work accordingly
  • Proven to be a creative problem solver
  • Proven to be naturally curious
  • Proven to be a team player with solid ability to form working professional relationships

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
