Genesis10 is currently looking for a Systems Administrator for a 1 year contract for a client in Lubbock, TX. Must be local and able to go onsite.

Summary:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for administering system maintenance and configuration based on work direction given by senior level team members. They act as a technical owner on the respective systems they are assigned. They are responsible for operation and maintenance of existing systems and/or infrastructure. They collaborate with users and technical teams to support incident resolution, systems monitoring, and problem analysis. They assist in deployment of system changes, and assist senior team members with projects or systems.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Support - Install, modify, document, and maintain system configuration and changes. Analyze system requirements and performance to optimize systems configuration for stability. Develop scripts and automate routine tasks.
  • Problem Management - Investigate and resolve problems involving complex systems. Provide problem identification for production incidents. Identify and implement solutions to production incidents. Identify and resolve production alerts. Provide support for systems testing and validation activities. Contribute to problem reviews.
  • User Support - Provide contextual and technical information to users. Assist users in identifying difficult technical problems and devising solutions. Advise users on available approved technologies. Translate user requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communications - Clearly and concisely communicate operational status whenever requested. Actively participate in status meetings. Prepare written status reports and responses to customer inquiries. Participate in meetings/communications with vendor partners.


Basic Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • ADMS server support experience
  • Experience with Jira and agile environment
  • Administration experience with different versions of Windows Server; 2016 and above would be preferred.
  • Patch Management experience
  • Windows 10/11 support experience
  • Experience with change management within ServiceNow.
  • Active Directory (AD)
  • Demonstrated good communication skills, strong, engaged, and collaborative team member.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills.


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Change Management
  • Linux Red Hat
  • Microsoft PowerShell
  • ADMS experience, not necessarily Schneider version, but another version would be very nice to have.
  • Previous distribution power experience is helpful
  • PowerShell scripting would be nice, but not required.
  • Active Directory would be strongly preferred
  • Group policy management (how to do some group policies within Windows)
  • Microsoft certifications - nice to have
  • Network certificates such as Cisco - nice to have


Compensation:

Hourly pay rate: $25-$27/hr W2

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
