A South Bay company startup is looking for a Director of Accounting for their team. In this role, the Director of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing and training the accounting team. What do you need for this Director of Accounting role? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field 10+ years of accounting experience Must have 4+ years of management experience MUST have US government contracting (FARS, DFARS) Advanced Excel What will you do in this Director of Accounting role? Offer leadership and guidance to the accounting team Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring timely completion of tasks Assist with managing payroll, accounts receivable, tax reporting, and the administration of stock options Enhance processes and frameworks to strengthen financial and regulatory risk management and ensure compliance across the organization Partner with the FP&A team to develop scalable solutions for generating and analyzing accounting data Conduct financial due diligence and analysis to support company financing activities Provide financial and strategic insights to the CFO, Controller, and FP&A team Offer strategic recommendations to the Controller and executive leadership Assist with external financial and government audits What is in this Director of Accounting role for you?
