Job Description

The Systems Analyst Senior supports the operations and utilization of the MMIS (Materials Management Information System) daily. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to loading contract pricing; contract expiration dates; new item set up; MSCM devices (handheld units); training users; troubleshooting system issues for users; system queries and analytics. Primarily responsible for system issues versus operation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the materials management information system. Performs file maintenance and coordinates software updates.
  • Tests and verifies the software provided in the periodic software releases. Software releases are tested in the test environment prior to installation in the production area.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments regarding materials management systems development and troubleshoots as needed.
  • Develops and provides computer orientation, training and/or inservice programs for all levels of materials management personnel. Provides similar services for other users as needed.
  • Works as intermediary between materials management team members and information systems to maintain computer equipment and troubleshoots miscellaneous information technology problems as needed.
  • Responsible for database management with regard to materials management applications. Coordinates the specific customization of the database with information technology if necessary.
  • Maintains interfacing between supply chain system and other systems; uploads and exports data files as needed.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert/project lead in system conversions or implementation of additional functionality within the system.
  • Coordinates new item additions with surgical services and serves as the primary liaison between materials management and revenue integrity with regard to the charge master.
  • Participates in the orientation of new staff as assigned, ensuring the exchange of appropriate information necessary for the successful performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintains efficient utilization of all resources.


Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Five years of related experience maybe considered in lieu of degree Required

Minimum Work Experience

  • 5 years Experience in procurement, inventory management, item master or cost accounting with recognized MMIS. Required
