Description
At Healthcare in Action, we serve patients experiencing homelessness through an innovative "street medicine" approach by contracting with Medicare and Medicaid health plans as well as hospitals and health systems. Street medicine entails using a medically equipped van to deliver medical care directly to people experiencing homelessness in locations such as parking lots, encampments, and parks. The Regional Director of Clinical Operations Director will play a key role in the oversight of HIA in the Orange County and San Diego Communities, with a specific focus on the oversight and management of day-to-day HIA operations as defined by the business need and the long-term plan for sustainable growth. The role also extends to successful delivery of relevant strategic and operational initiatives. Oversees and is responsible for all operational aspects to ensure effective and reliable care delivery through contracted relationships and the network needs. **Must be located in Orange County, but is a mostly remote role** Responsibilities include: Develop, lead, and maintain the infrastructure of daily operations of HIA in an effort to ensure performance aligns with and/or exceeds goals and objectives.
Develop and drive HIA organizational culture, influence through empowerment of clinical and operational teams.
Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships and negotiated business arrangements with key stakeholders, provider organizations, and external vendors to ensure optimal service offerings and appropriate protocols to meet the needs of our members.
Drive forward the process to plan and complete activities related to the design, implementation and evaluation of prioritized initiatives. Such activities can include:
Manage program risk (at the department and/or initiative-level) by identifying, planning, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate or minimize risks and monitor findings, within associated projects.
Serve as a clinical provider of direct medical services to HIA patients one day a week as well as filling in for other HIA providers in the region who are on PTO or on sick time. Supervises/Manages Others (i.e., hires, performance reviews, corrective action, etc.) Span of Control: 4 - 10 direct reports Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and experience:
