Overview

Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology (RFT) provides cutting edge technology solutions to Deutsch Bank's Corporate Functions for risk management, financial, and regulatory reporting. As a senior Full Stack Java application developer, you will be working on the cloud transformation of our high throughput data ingestion engine and data read webservices using Java and relational and cloud databases, hosted on world's leading cloud platforms. You will be challenged to re-architect our multi-threaded data processing engine, capable of storing and retrieving hundreds of gigabytes of data on a daily basis, to run from the cloud as micro-services. What You'll Do

  • As part of a high-performing development team, you will design and deliver highly functional, scalable, reusable components/services, released to production in an agile manner

  • Through the application of development standards and quality technologies, ensure the product is robust and well tested, with failure scenarios considered and prevented

  • You will perform knowledge transfer of your code/product to the operations team and assist them with production issue investigation and resolution

  • You are expected to identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and innovative ideas to constantly improve the product(s)

  • Being a pro-active, self-motivating member of the Scrum team, you will not only contribute to the technical architecture and implementation, but also to the team efficiency initiatives and culture

  • You will provide technology and career guidance to junior team members

Skills You'll Need

  • Extensive application development experience using Java and Structured Query Language (SQL) on the Unix platform

  • Proficient experience using Spring Core and/or Spring Boot is a must, Advanced experience using a JavaScript library (e.g., Angular and React) is required

  • Moderate experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle and MySQL) is required, Moderate experience with messaging middleware (e.g., IBM Message Queue (MQ), Solace, Kafka) is required

  • Java 8 is a must. Scala or other JVM-based functional programming language is a plus, Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) and Jenkins is a strong plus

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technology products (OpenShift, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) is a strong plus

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and "can-do" attitude

  • Effective collaboration mindset and approach when working with infrastructure teams and ability to speak their technical languages

  • Any Java, Oracle, and Cloud certifications

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
