Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling and Payroll Management:

    • Create and manage strategic weekly staff schedules for hourly employees, ensuring optimal coverage while monitoring labor costs
    • Oversee the accurate coding of hourly staff schedules in UKG and ensure timecards are processed correctly and submitted on time.
    • Assist with managing the allocation of the tip pool process regularly to ensure accuracy for payroll processing.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, including minimizing unauthorized overtime and addressing meal break violations and other time-related policies.




  • Performance Management:

    • Provide coaching to hourly staff on a daily basis to enhance performance, productivity, and customer service.
    • Address performance concerns and implement corrective documentation as necessary, following company procedures.




  • Recruitment & Training:

    • Assists the recruitment process for hourly staff, while working closely with the Director of Outlets, Senior Food and Beverage Manager, and the People and Culture team to identify candidates and fill vacancies promptly.
    • Assist with the ongoing training and development of front-of-house staff to ensure consistency and maintain elevated service initiatives.




  • Inventory Management and Ordering:

    • Assist with weekly beverage ordering to ensure adequate supply levels while controlling costs as needed.
    • Assist the Director of Outlets with the management of china, glassware, and silverware, ensuring items are in good condition and stored properly. Assist with ordering items as needed.
    • Assist with monthly beverage inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of products.
    • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and the quality of products.
    • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors to avoid disruptions in operations.




  • Guest and Member Relations:

    • Foster positive relationships with guests and members by delivering personalized service and anticipating needs.
    • Ownership of guest concerns, complaints, and service recoveries effectively to ensure guest satisfaction. This may include following up with reviews, or addressing guests issue via the phone or email in a timely manner.




  • Reservation Management:

    • Consistent evaluation of future reservations to ensure seamless coordination and communication between managers, host team, and guests.
    • Assist with managing the reservation system by reviewing large party reservation requests, upcoming VIPs and special requests to note via the Lemon Grove inbox.




  • Operational Support:

    • Work floor shifts across all food and beverage outlets, stepping in as needed to support staff and maintain high standards of service.
    • Assist with overseeing the front-of-house Supervisors, Leads, and Captains delegating tasks and ensuring operations run smoothly on a consistent basis.
    • Oversee and assist the bar team as needed with daily preparation for the beverage program. This may include syrups, batches, and garnish production and quality control.
    • Assist with seasonal recipe development and training as needed.
    • Assist with receiving beverage deliveries, ensuring storage areas are properly maintained and organized. Ensure PO's are collected and properly stored for accounting purposes.




  • Administrative Support:

    • Assist the Director of Outlets and Senior Food and Beverage Manager with weekly administrative tasks, including reporting, scheduling, POS audits and updates, and other operational documentation as needed.




  • Collaboration with Other Departments:

    • Will assist with other departmental requests (both operational and administrative) as needed. This includes but is not limited to:

      • Addressing guest disputes and billing issues with finance and ensuring quick resolution.
      • Collaborate with the People and Culture team to drive recruitment efforts, ensuring a strong and well-trained workforce.
      • Assist the front desk with guest amenities to enhance the guest experience as well as assist with service recoveries where needed.







Required Skills/Qualifications:




  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar capacity within the industry.
  • Detail oriented, process driven and ability to problem solve in high-volume and demanding fast-paced environments.
  • POS (or alternative) experience with Stay in Touch, Tabit or other Hospitality driven technologies experience.
  • Passionate and influential leader who positively communicates cross-functionally and leads a team to drive efficient and effective best practices through service.
  • Passionate about food and beverages trends and best practices and local health & safety compliance regulations.
  • Ability to manage personnel


  • Guest-oriented and service-minded as well as flexible and proactive.
  • Strong experience with staff coaching and development.
  • Inventory management system experience with Bevager preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule required - must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays per business needs.
  • Strong beverage acumen: classic cocktails, spirits, wine & beer.



Physical Requirements




  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, push, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.



Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Aster Hotel standards.



Other

Bilingual or multilingual ability is helpful but not required.

Salary range $72,000.00- $75,000.00
