Facilities Director

The Facilities Director provides leadership and oversees the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our company's physical assets, including all capital projects. The Facilities Director will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of our facilities, while also planning for future growth and development.



  • Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Develops RFPs and project plans for capital improvement projects including all renovations and buildouts and is the primary organizational project manager for the same. Manage budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and provide oversight. Coordinates the design element requirements.

    • Capital projects
    • Lease improvements
    • Manages moves (internal or external) office to office or building to building.
    • Oversee the selection and purchase of office furniture.


  • Manage maintenance contracts - manage the vendor selection process and contract negotiation for all maintenance vendors. Provide oversight into all vendor activity.
  • Lease Administration - buildings, space, parking lots

    • Rental leases - administration to include lease development and negotiation in coordination with legal, maintaining the summary tracking schedule for payments and renewals, and liaison with realtors and landlords.


  • Responsible for all leased and owned facilities (currently 17) throughout Prince William County, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, and Maryland.
  • Fleet management

    • From purchase to selling/disposal of vehicles. Source maintenance facilities for vehicle care. Maintain and update processes, procedures, and standards in coordination with the Purchasing and Safety Departments.


  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and facilities maintenance regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of facility and office management staff. That includes the Office Manager / Facilities Coordinator, Couriers and Reception.
  • Manage courier schedules for contract and administrative pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address facility-related needs.
  • Manage internal space allocations including identifying seating needs and office configuration and design.
  • Handling long-range planning to support future needs and growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as vendors, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and analyze facility performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare metrics reports, tracking reports, and other reports necessary to support the departments and the organization.
  • Maintain and manage the facilities ticket system.
  • Stay up to date on the industry's best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Provides leadership to staff by fostering teamwork while balancing team and individual responsibilities; giving feedback to nurture a positive team spirit and quality performance; and modeling dependability, hard work, strong business ethics, and a professional personal appearance.
  • Completes and maintains all required Didlake training.
