DESCRIPTION Decypher is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to support the mission at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/Education: Master's Degree in Social Work accredited by the Counsel of Social Work Education (CSWE).
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience: At least two (2) years of full-time, professional experience working directly with military Special Operations units OR military OR civilian intelligences agencies OR equivalent law enforcement organizations.
Licensure/Registration: Must hold and maintain an active state license for independent practice in Clinical Social Work in the identified primary location (State of New Mexico) and follow the ethical guidelines for this state. Meet service requirements for independent practice and maintain current, unrestricted credentials with the servicing DOD medical authority.
Board Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Observation and Participation: Integrate into squadron activities, observing personnel in their duties across all mission sets, functional teams, duty locations, and work shifts.
Assessment: Evaluate workplace conditions, unit policies, practices, and team dynamics for sources of psychosocial stressors and barriers to optimal health and performance.
Data Utilization: Use medical, safety, fitness data, and interviews to inform risk analysis and document observations for mitigation strategy development.
Initiative Development: Create and implement evidence-based initiatives to mitigate identified hazards and enhance resiliency.
Collaboration: Work with HPSG and Training Group personnel, and other support agencies to ensure initiatives comply with DoD and AF regulations.
Psychological Measures: Administer, score, analyze, and interpret psychological measures and data.
Training and Consultation: Provide training and consultation to unit representatives, commanders, and other personnel on psychosocial stressors and mitigation strategies.
Professional Development: Maintain awareness of cutting-edge modalities and techniques in behavioral health through continuing education and professional activities.
Psychodiagnostic Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychodiagnosis evaluations and provide evidence-based psychotherapy.
Documentation: Prepare written evaluation reports, clinical impressions, and recommendations. Record assessments and treatments using SOAP format.
Compliance: Ensure practice according to state and professional licensing and ethical guidelines.
Non-Clinical Services: Provide non-clinical mental health services, including assessment and selection, personnel recovery/reintegration, consultation, psychoeducation, psychological skills training, transition support, risk management, performance enhancement/consultation, and analysis of data from personality assessments.
Referral Management: Refer and manage patients needing clinical or specialty care at the host base MTF's Medical Group, including ADAPT and family advocacy referrals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Perform duties requiring physical exertion, including walking over rough surfaces, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
