Position Summary:


It is the responsibility of the Pharmacy Manager to manage the pharmacy. This individual is responsible for overseeing all the activities related to the pharmacy and is responsible for all the rules and regulations concerning it.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Minimum of B.S. in Pharmacy and a
  • License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Illinois.


Skill/Experience/Competency

  • Ability to effectively manage numerous projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and similar computer programs.
  • Experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Manager is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to interact with Physicians, patients and employees as required.
  • Highly accurate in dispensing medications.



Physical Demands/Work Environment

Work Environment:

Ensure efficient and compliant medication dispensing and patient care. Could spend time consulting with patients and physicians. Job involves walking, standing and office setting.

Physical Demands:

  • The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work accurately and effectively in oral and written directions and communication.
  • Pharmacists spend a significant portion of their workday standing and walking, and they may be exposed to diseases and infections.
  • Enjoy working with people and works cooperatively with other hospital staff.
  • Medium Lifting, occasionally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
