Overview

The Global Research Department of Deutsche Bank is seeking an Associate-level candidate to join the US Rates Research team. Candidates with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply. The Research Associate will support the Rates team in analyzing pertinent market trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and collaborating with other areas of the Bank to develop and publish rigorous, independent research for clients and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Support the team in the production of high-quality written output on US interest rate markets (Treasuries, inflation-linked, swap spreads, money markets) for a broad audience
  • Analyze economic, policy, and financial developments and their implications for US rates
  • Publish regular and ad-hoc analysis on key topics
  • Develop and maintain quantitative models
  • Coordinate input from a range of macroeconomic research professionals within Deutsche Bank

Skills You'll Need

  • Undergraduate degree in economics required; graduate training (MA) in relevant fields welcome
  • Several years of research experience in financial markets, macroeconomics, or economic policy
  • Solid writing and presentation skills - the ideal candidate will have an equal capacity to communicate in written and spoken form
  • Strong data analysis and data management skills

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $135,000 to $175,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
