Responsibilities & Expectations:
The Financial Analyst will work at IPS Headquarters in Greenville, SC or Indianapolis, IN and will report directly to the Director of Operations Finance. This position will play a critical role in analyzing the company's operational performance, providing insight on key drivers, communicate findings to operations leadership, and supporting continuous improvement projects/processes. Under general supervision, this analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to deliver meaningful insights that support decision-making for operations, finance, and executive management teams.
- Work closely with the Operations Finance team to interpret and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive business performance
- Special projects are an integral part of this position
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting packages and presentations for operations management and executive leadership
- Support the annual budgeting process ensuring alignment with business objectives, strategic goals, and financial targets
- Provide detailed analysis of actual results versus planned and forecasted budgets
- Conduct detailed P&L reviews, identifying key drivers of performance and areas for improvement
- Support opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance the effectiveness of Operations reporting
- Support CAPEX business case development for Operations investments
- Routine and ad hoc financial reports as requested by management
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in operations finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or services environment
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and P&L management
- Experience preparing reports and presenting financial data to senior management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
