This position is accountable for providing quality control and analytical/technical support to the Quality Department.

Essential Duties:

  • Support the completion of customer quality documentation.
  • Identifies, dispositions, and analyzes nonconforming material for cause.
  • Provides analytical and quality related functions that support the corrective and preventive action process.
  • Provides analytical and quality-related functions that support the customer and applicable internal personnel. Performs inspection and follow-up activities regarding customer returned materials.
  • Provides various quality reports and feedback to quality management for use in problem solving and quality management decisions.
  • Provides assistance during customer source inspections and audits.
  • Provides training to in-house quality inspectors.

These are the general duties required to fulfill the Quality Engineer job description, not a detailed description of all work required. New duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the changing demands of the business.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in relevant field coupled with 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional Engineering degree preferred in relevant field coupled with 3-5 years' of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes/operations and inspections/tests.
  • Cable of reading and interpreting wire and cable specifications.
