POSITION TITLE: Project Accountant

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Project Accountant to join the corporate finance team. This role is responsible for preparing general ledger entries, preparing financial statements and reviewing financial reports with operational groups . The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized and customer centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides timely reports showing actual and projected project financials of varying contract type, size, and scope; reviews results with financial and operational leadership
- Oversee project set up process to ensure projects are setup in accordance with established accounting standards and internal processes
- Prepares monthly WIP schedules, JCR's, and budgets for internal operational groups; hosts initial reviews with operational groups
- Has mid-level financial acumen; assists in analyzing the financial impact of operational business decisions and issues affecting the company; provides suggestions
- Ability to read, review and understand construction contract language to identify potential change orders and provide accurate revenue recognition
- Oversees inventory levels in relations to actual monthly construction production in support of monthly WIP reporting
- Performs other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Corporate headquarters is located at: 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069
- This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment
- This position may be required to use standard office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, etc.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 1-3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience required
- 1+ years of experience in Construction Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
The starting pay for this position is $60,000 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
