Job Summary
Will perform weigh master duties at our Mascharka location. Responsible for weighing inbound and outbound trucks and ticketing.
Main Responsibilities
- Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety culture
- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment
- Complete daily inspections of assigned work area
- Participates in pre-shift safety huddles
- Provide excellent customer service
- Responsible for reporting incidents and accidents to supervisor or management
- Maintain an open line of communication with team members to promote team productivity
- Responsible to report to plant supervisor or superintendent of any potential safety hazards
- Responsible to follow all onsite MSHA and environmental requirements and guidelines
- Required to take MSHA upon hire and annually and adhere to all MSHA regulations and guidelines
- Clerical tasks as assigned
- Weigh incoming / outgoing trucks and provide documentation using company software
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with peers.
- Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
- Able to operate office equipment
- Ability to perform tasks as given from supervisors as well as work as part of a team
- Adaptable to changing conditions
- Required to complete certification process to obtain Weigh Master's certification
Physical Requirements
- Requires an individual to stand, walk, sit, use arms, hands, and fingers
- Some light lifting, reaching, and handling of objects.
- Climbing stairs
- Most of the work is done in an office environment but some duties are performed outside in various weather conditions
